Lena's Bio

Lena is a dedicated wife, mother, Ministry leader, Educator, Prophetess, Teacher, Choreographer, Deaconess, Professional Dancer, Community Activist, and writer. She was born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in the NYC area. She has been dancing for as long as she can remember and has gained over 25 years of professionally trained dance experience.
Lena began her training at an early child age, studying dance while growing up at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre School in NYC. She continued her studies at Alvin Ailey and went on pursue her college degree. She holds a Bachelors Degree and is currently pursuing her masters. She has professional experience in Ballet, Modern, Hip Hop, Tap, African, Creative Movement, Jazz, Point, Pilates, Yoga, Fitness and theatre. Lena credits the late Alvin Ailey for his inspiration to pursue her passion and his tremendous works and legacy on dance.
Lena has performed with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre School, and has danced professionally for countless events. In dedicating her life to the Lord, she now preaches the Gospel through
dance, under the greatest teaching of the holy spirit.
Lena has worked as a long time community activist for The Association of Community Based Artists of Westchester, NY and has danced at numerous arts functions on their behalf. She is the founder of the ACBAW dance program, where she established a dance school to provide self-development and affordable arts opportunities for youth in the NY area. Lena believes in investing in the future of our children. She is also the founder of numerous dance ministries for churches located in the New York area.
Lena has gained over 14 years of experience teaching workshops in dance ministry, biblical studies of dance, ministry leadership, Team motivation, choreography, fitness, flags, stage production and more. She assists communities and youth programs by teaching dance classes on fitness, ballet, modern, and creative worship. She resides in New York and currently provides educational and teaching programs, to birth, rebirth and strengthen dance ministries, while completing the birth of her new book on religious dance. God is moving in her life tremendously to preach the Gospel through dance.
Lena closes by saying " Dance inspires me and it is my desire to educate and inspire others to worship and serve God through the Mnistry of dance. My greatest desire is to see dance reclaimed unto the Lord, in holiness, spirit and truth." She has devoted the rest of her life to share her gift of dance openly with others to equip them to become ministers and teachers of the arts for Christ.
