Excellence in Holy Garments
Poated: June, 18. 2011
Exodus 28:4 - And these are the garments which they shall make; a breastplate, and an ephod, and a robe, and a broidered coat, a mitre, and a girdle:and they shall make holy garments for Aaron thy brother, and his sons, that he may minister unto me in the priest's office."
Together we must strive for excellence in choosing Garments of holiness and priest hood in representation of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Dancing was created for Gods purpose to glorify him, and there should be no attention drawn to the body to cause temptation to others.
Your praise dance attire should represent holiness and beauty of our heavenly father. The bosom should not be exposed or hanging low while ministering in dance. In addition, your undergarments should not be visible through your outer garments. These type of distractions can send the wrong message to God's people and place the focus on the flesh.

Although some dance attire can be thin or colors may be light, the way we prevent visibility of undergarments is by wearing pallazo pants underneath and or leggings. They should be worn if you are wearing light colors and doing high kicks in your praise dance. If you are dancing in all white, it is recommended you wear an ephod with dark colored garments underneath. Pallazo's should be worn underneath skirts.
After choosing your garments, if you feel something is not in place or will distract the message then cover they body with an overlay or ephod. These outer garments are wonderful for praise dance groups who vary in different sizes and they look beautiful over fitted leotards.
The Lord's holy garments represent the outward things of His life which clothed His Divinity to people, especially the forms of truth in which He expressed His love. The high priests wore these garments to represent glory and beauty while they were doing their holy duties. As worship and praise dancer's we must continue to follow the same principles in representing Christ.
Many Blessings,
Lena
